Photoreceptor tatu After Reolved Macular Edema in Branch Retinal Vein Occluion Treated With Tiue Plaminogen Activator

Purpoe To evaluate the integrity of photoreceptor in macular edema (ME) aociated with branch retinal vein occluion after intravitreal tiue plaminogen activator. Deign Retropective, interventional cae erie. Method Nineteen eye with ME by branch retinal vein occluion were treated with intravitreal tiue plaminogen activator injection. We aeed viual acuity (VA) and the preence or abence in the fovea of a third high reflectance band (HRB) by optical coherence tomography at the final viit. Reult No difference were found in age, preoperative VA, and foveal thickne between the group with or without the third HRB. After treatment, the mean VA improved ignificantly (P < .05) in both group. At the final viit, the mean VA in the group without HRB wa ignificantly poorer than the group with HRB (P = .0042); foveal thickne did not differ between the group. Concluion The integrity of the third HRB in the fovea i aociated with VA after the reolution of ME.
