Optical Coherence Tomography Finding of Acute Traumatic Maculopathy Following Motor Vehicle Accident

Purpoe To decribe two cae of acute traumatic maculopathy uing optical coherence tomography (OCT) following high-peed motor vehicle accident. Deign Cae report. Method Patient were examined oon after the accident uing nellen viual acuity (VA), dilated fundu examination, and OCT. Re-examination wa conducted two week to one month later. Reult Both patient experienced an immediate reduction in VA of between 20/120 and 20/200. An abnormal yellow foveal reflex wa noted at fundu examination in both cae. OCT revealed outer retinal thickening under the fovea and of the neuroenory retina with preervation of the inner retinal architecture and foveal pit. Thee OCT change reolved approximately within two week of the accident with near reolution of the viual diturbance in both cae. Concluion We decribe two cae of acute traumatic maculopathy, including it appearance on OCT imaging.
