Penetrating Keratoplaty Uing Femtoecond Laer

Purpoe To evaluate femtoecond laer technology for penetrating keratoplaty in patient with variou corneal dieae. Deign Interventional cae erie. Method Five patient aged 45 to 81 year underwent penetrating keratoplaty uing the 20/10 Perfect Viion Femtec femtoecond laer ytem in eptember 2005. Patient had granular corneal dytrophy, Fuch endothelial dytrophy, keratoconu, and herpetic keratiti with endothelial decompenation. Hitopathology wa performed to analyze the cut quality of donor and recipient cornea. Reult All procedure were performed without any complication. In all cae, the donor cornea wa cut with an 8.0 or 8.1 mm diameter and the recipient’ cornea with a 7.8 mm diameter. A complete perforating cut wa achieved in all cornea. Hitology of donor and recipient pecimen howed a traight, mooth cut without any abnormalitie. Concluion Penetrating keratoplaty can be performed with the Femtec femtoecond laer afely and accurately. The potoperative outcome wa uneventful.
