ucceful Treatment With Infliximab in a Patient With Diffue ubretinal Fibroi yndrome

Purpoe To report a cae of Diffue ubretinal Fibroi (DF) yndrome refractory to immunouppreive therapy who wa uccefully treated with anti-tumor necroi factor-α (TNF)-α monoclonal antibodie infliximab. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 23-year-old male with bilateral choroiditi preented udden dimne of viion aociated to naal cotoma in hi right eye. Complete ophthalmic examination with appropriated clinical and laboratorial evaluation wa carried out during all follow-up. Inform conent tatement and Internal Ethic Board approval were alo obtained for an open-label therapy chedule. Reult Extenive temporal ubretinal leion in hi right eye and DF in the left eye were oberved. The patient received intravenou infliximab infuion (5 mg/kg) chema. Four week after tarting treatment hi viual acuity improved with decreae in ocular inflammation. Concluion Thi report decribe a cae of DF yndrome that reponded remarkably well to infliximab treatment uggeting that TNF-α could play an important pathogenetic role in thi yndrome.
