Abstract :
Purpoe To evaluate the efficacy and afety of photodynamic therapy (PDT) with verteporfin combined with intravitreal triamcinolone (TA) in retinal angiomatou proliferation (RAP). Deign Retropective, conecutive, noncomparative cae erie. Method Patient newly diagnoed with RAP underwent indocyanine green angiography (ICGA)–guided PDT with verteporfin, immediately followed by intravitreal TA. Complete ocular examination, fluorecein angiography (FA), ICGA, and optical coherence tomography (OCT) were performed at baeline and follow-up viit every three month. Reult eventeen eye of eventeen patient underwent thi imultaneou combined treatment. All patient had 12 month of follow-up. Complete reolution of angiographic leakage wa achieved in 83% at 12 month. Viual acuity improved in 35%, and wa table in 47%. Eleven patient developed recurrent leakage after ix to 12 month, which ettled completely after repeat combined treatment. Concluion Thi imultaneou combined treatment in patient with RAP wa effective in reducing or eliminating retinal edema, regreion of neovacularization, and tabilizing or improving viual acuity.
