Abstract :
Purpoe
To determine the patial relationhip in neuroretinal rim parameter value between eye in ocular hypertenive, glaucoma upect, and glaucoma patient.
Deign
Obervational-cro-ectional tudy.
Method
A total of 334 eye of 167 patient were included. All patient underwent confocal canning laer ophthalmocopy imaging in both eye. Intereye concordance ratio of abnormal rim ector a claified by the Moorfield regreion analyi (MRA) wa calculated a the ratio of matching abnormal rim area to the total number of abnormal rim area. The amount of agreement wa calculated for each ector eparately.
Reult
Of the right (left) eye, 39 (39) eye were claified “borderline” (BL) by MRA, 62 (65) eye were “within normal limit” (WNL), and 66 (63) eye “outide normal limit” (ONL). A total of 78 patient had a normal overall MRA reult in both eye (BL = WNL). Of the 89 patient with a defect in at leat one ector, mean intereye concordance wa 0.28 ± 0.04 (BL = WNL). When conidering BL a ONL, concordance increaed to 0.43 ± 0.03. The lowet intereye agreement in rim abnormality wa found in the temporal-inferior ector with 29.0% (Kappa ± E [tandard error], 0.25 ± 0.09, BL = WNL) matching. The highet agreement wa found in the naal- inferior ector with 47% (Kappa ± E, 0.53 ± 0.1, BL = WNL) matching.
Concluion
There i a moderate intereye agreement in abnormal neuroretinal rim location in eye of ocular hypertenive, glaucoma upect, and glaucoma patient. Longitudinal tudie are needed to elucidate the agreement over time and to better undertand the morphological pattern of progreion between eye in glaucoma.
