Purpoe To clarify the morphologic background of erou retinal detachment with multilobular dye pooling on fluorecein angiography (FA) in acute Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) dieae. Method etting: Intitutional tudy. tudy population: Ten eye of five patient aged 16 to 52 year (average age, 31 year) with VKH dieae who preented with a erou retinal detachment. obervation procedure: Clinical examination and optical coherence tomography (OCT). main outcome meaure: Finding on OCT and FA. Reult All eye had multilobular dye pooling with a dark rim on late-phae FA. OCT revealed ubretinal epta that divided the ubretinal pace into everal compartment. The ubretinal eptum lay on the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) in the foveal area, forming the poterior wall of the ubfoveal compartment while it detached from the RPE in the perifoveal area, which erved a a lateral wall between the ubfoveal and perifoveal compartment. The dark rim of each area of ubretinal dye pooling correponded to the ubretinal epta. oon after teroid pule therapy, the ubretinal epta reolved completely in all eye. Concluion ubretinal epta caued multilobular dye pooling in erou retinal detachment aociated with acute VKH dieae. We aume that the ubretinal epta are compried of inflammatory product uch a fibrin, which immediately reolve after teroid pule therapy.
