Abstract
Purpoe
To report the ue of intravitreal bevacizumab injection for the treatment of foveal detachment in idiopathic perifoveal telangiectaia (IPT).
Deign
Propective, interventional cae erie.
Method
Three eye from two patient with IPT and foveal detachment were treated with a 1.25 mg/0.05 ml intravitreal injection of bevacizumab. The following variable were evaluated: viual acuity and optical coherence tomography (OCT) image.
Reult
The OCT image howed marked reveral of the foveal detachment after the injection, with retoration of foveal depreion in all eye. The viion of all treated eye improved and remained unchanged up until the lat follow-up viit (mean, 24 week).
Concluion
A ingle intravitreal bevacizumab injection provide hort-term improvement in viual acuity and foveal detachment aociated with IPT. Thee finding hould be followed by further tudie to evaluate the long-term effect on retinal tructure and function.
