Intravitreal Bevacizumab for the Treatment of Retinal Angiomatou Proliferation

Purpoe To verify the potential efficacy of intravitreal bevacizumab (IVB) injection for the treatment of retinal angiomatou proliferation (RAP). Deign Retropective interventional cae erie. Method Four conecutive patient affected by RAP at different tage and refractory to photodynamic therapy (PDT). All patient underwent a complete ophthalmic examination including bet-corrected viual acuity (BCVA), fluorecein and indocyanine green angiographie, and optical coherence tomography (OCT) at baeline, and after one, three, ix, nine, and 12 month. All patient received IVB injection (1.25 mg/0.05 ml). Reult The bet functional repone ha been achieved in patient with RAP at tage 1 and 2; wherea in tage 3, a detectable recovery of viual acuity wa not oberved. Thi improvement wa table over the follow-up period with a concomitant reduction of macular thickne. Concluion The ue of IVB in patient affected by RAP eem to exert morphologic benefit at all RAP tage that doe not alway correpond a functional improvement.
