  • Abstract
Purpoe To invetigate the effect of preoperative brimonidine-purite 0.15% intillation on intraoperative bleeding and potoperative ubconjunctival hemorrhage during trabimu urgery in adult patient. Deign Randomized comparative interventional cae erie. Method One hundred and eighteen eye of 90 conecutive adult patient were intilled with either a ingle drop of brimonidine-purite 0.15% (42 eye), phenylephrine 1% (38 eye), or odium hyaluronate 0.1% (38 eye) 15 minute prior to trabimu urgery. Intraoperative bleeding and potoperative ubconjunctival hemorrhage were graded on a cale of one to three. The core were compared among the tudy group. Reult core of the intraoperative bleeding and the potoperative ubconjunctival hemorrhage of the treatment group were ignificantly le than that of the control group (P < .001). The core of the brimonidine group were imilar to thoe of the phenylephrine group (intraoperative bleeding core, P = .405; ubconjunctival hemorrhage core, P = .722). Concluion Topical brimonidine adminitration before trabimu urgery may reduce intraoperative bleeding and potoperative ubconjunctival hemorrhage in adult patient.
