A propective tudy baed on laboratory invetigation.
Method
Genu-pecific hp65 gene equencing wa ued to identify the genu Nocardia iolated from 11 conecutive cae of ocular nocardioi to the pecie level.
Reult
Eleven eye clinical iolate belong to ix pecie: N. arthritidi (3/11), N. neocaledonieni (3/11), N. aiatica (2/11), N. ateroid type 4 (1/11), N. brailieni (1/11), and N. peudobrailieni (1/11). N. arthritidi i the mot important etiologic pecie that caue Nocardia keratiti. N. neocaledonien i iolated in the conjunctiva, and might caue conjunctiviti.
Concluion
Genu-pecific hp65 gene equencing can be a rapid and reliable adjunct in the diagnoi of ocular Nocardia to the genu and pecie level. N. arthritidi other than N. ateroid (often appeared in urvey) i the mot important etiologic pecie in ocular nocardiai. N. neocaledonieni can be iolated in conjunctiva, and might be able to caue conjunctiviti. The diverity of pecie ha important implication for the etiology, pathogenei, and treatment (drug uceptibility).
