Abstract :
Purpoe To ae light enitivity and morphologic change of capillary nonperfued area in diabetic retinopathy. Deign Propective, obervational cro-ectional tudy. Method eventeen conecutive patient (20 eye) with area of capillary nonperfuion reulting from evere nonproliferative or proliferative diabetic retinopathy were included in the tudy. All eye underwent fluorecent angiography and fundu-related microperimetry. Nonperfued area of the retina were canned with optical coherence tomography (OCT). Reult In all 20 diabetic eye, area of capillary nonperfuion detected by fluorecein angiography were aociated with the lo of retinal enitivity. At the edge of the nonperfued area, retinal enitivity tended to be reduced. The OCT image uggeted a tructural diturbance of the inner retina and high-reflectivity depoition located between the outer egment of photoreceptor and the retinal pigment epithelium correponding to the area of capillary nonperfuion. Concluion Area of capillary nonperfuion reulting from evere nonproliferative or proliferative diabetic retinopathy how morphologic change of the retinal tructure, which may lead to a lo of enitivity.
