Purpoe To decribe the occurrence of uperior oblique (O) tendon damage reulting from upper eyelid urgery and to explain it caue and treatment. Deign Retropective, obervational cae erie. Method An intitution-baed retropective obervational cae erie of even patient in whom damage to the O tendon econdary to eyelid urgery developed. Reult In four of the patient, ipilateral O paly developed, and three patient, a Brown yndrome pattern developed. The cauative eyelid procedure conited of urgery to correct ptoi in four patient, tumor removal in two patient, and cometic blepharoplaty in one patient. Concluion The O tendon may be damaged a a reult of eyelid urgery. The anatomy of the O tendon hould be kept in mind while performing urgery in the uperomedial apect of the upper eyelid.
