Abstract :
Purpoe
To compare the meaurement of intraocular preure (IOP) with dynamic contour tonometry (DCT) and Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAT) in eye with corneal graft and to evaluate the influence of corneal thickne (CCT), corneal curvature (CC), and atigmatim on thee method.
Deign
Propective, obervational cro-ectional tudy.
Method
Eighteen eye of 18 patient after penetrating keratoplaty (PKP) and 14 eye of 14 patient after deep lamellar keratoplaty (DLKP) underwent IOP evaluation with DCT and GAT, and meaurement of CCT, CC, and atigmatim. Bland-Altman plot were ued to evaluate the agreement between tonometer. Multivariate regreion analyi wa ued to evaluate the influence of ocular tructural factor and running uture on IOP meaurement obtained with both tonometer.
Reult
IOP value obtained by DCT and GAT were trongly correlated in all eye (r = .91; P < .001). DCT value meaured 2.5 ± 1.7 mm Hg higher than GAT reading (P < .001). A reduction of the mean IOP difference between DCT and GAT with an increae in IOP value (P < .001) wa found. Regreion analyi howed no effect of CCT, CC, atigmatim, and running uture on both DCT and GAT reading, either in DLKP or in PKP eye.
Concluion
We found a good overall correlation between both tonometer but the agreement between intrument differ in high or low IOP range. The wide and varying 95% limit of agreement between DCT and GAT indicate that DCT provide IOP meaurement on deep lamellar and penetrating keratoplatie which can be ued in the clinical practice.
