Abstract :
Purpoe
To ae viual and refractive outcome of femtoecond laer for reidual refractive error correction after refractive len exchange (RLE) with multifocal intraocular len (IOL) implantation.
Deign
Propective, nonrandomized, maked obervational cae erie (elf-controlled).
Method
Fifty-three eye of 31 conecutive patient were ubmitted to femtoecond laer urgery after RLE with multifocal IOL implantation. Patient howed an average manifet refractive error (D) of M, 0.200 ± 0.490; J0, −0.051 ± 0.532; and J45, −0.007 ± 0.371. Viual acuity (VA) wa meaured at ditance and near viion before and ix month after the urgery.
Reult
At ix month after urgery, mean uncorrected VA wa 0.83 ± 0.20 and improved in 100% of the eye. No eye lot two or more line of bet-corrected ditance VA; five eye lot one line, 31 eye did not change after the urgery, 13 eye gained one line, and four eye gained two line. All eye were within ± 1.00 diopter (D) and 96.2% were within ± 0.50 D of the deired refraction. The average manifet refractive error (D) after urgery wa M, 0.014 ± 0.170; J0, 0.029 ± 0.118; and J45, 0.007 ± 0.061. No eye lot two or more line of bet ditance-corrected near VA; two eye lot one line, 40 eye did not change, and 11 eye gained one line. Mean uncorrected ditance near VA wa 0.88 ± 0.12 at ix month. Bet ditance-corrected near VA changed from 0.89 ± 0.14 before urgery to 0.90 ± 0.13 at ix month.
Concluion
Femtoecond laer after RLE with multifocal IOL implantation i an effective procedure for correcting reidual ametropia and reulted in better ditance viual outcome.
