Ballantyne syndrome caused by a large placental chorioangioma

Ballantyne syndrome has been found in association with a number of antenatal complications. This first reported case of Ballantyne syndrome with a large placental chorioangioma was successfully alleviated by delivery of the fetus, placenta, and tumor. A common denominator among the Ballantyne syndrome and its associated pathogogic features has not been elucidated.
