Abstract :
Placentas were obtained at delivery from 34 pregnancies complicated by preeclampsia and from 34 uncomplicated pregnancies. The incidence of apoptotic nuclei was significantly greater (P< .01) in the placentas from the pregnancies complicated by preeclampsia. (Am J Obstet Gynecol 2001;184:1249-50.)
