Abstract :
is study prospectively investigated the hypothesis that ambivalence about becoming pregnant is associated with comparatively less frequent use of contraception. Findings from a sample of sexually active African American adolescent, nonpregnant females (n = 375) supported this hypothesis. Prevention programs may benefit from content designed to redress adolescents’ positive beliefs about early parenthood. (Am J Obstet Gynecol 2002;186:251-2.)
