Abstract :
In this paper, mesoporous MCM-41s have been prepared in various conditions (with C16TAB or C12TAB as template, three different molar composition and hydrothermal or non-thermal conditions) and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption-desorption measurements, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show Kd value of uranium on the synthesized mesoporous MCM-41 by C12 has been enhanced. Adsorption behavior of uranium on the MCM-41-C12H1 adsorbent has been studied and experimental adsorption isotherm is successfully described by Freundlich model.
