Abstract :
A Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of mobile nodes that can communicate with each other using multi hop wirelesslinks without utilizing any fixed based-station infrastructure and centralized management. Each mobile node in the network acts as both a hostgenerating flows or being destination of flows and a router forwarding flows directed to other nodes. With the rapid proliferation of wirelessnetworks and mobile computing applications, Quality of Service (QOS) for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) has received increasedattention. Security is a critical aspect of QOS provisioning in the MANET environment. Without protection from a security mechanism, attackson QOS signaling system could result in QOS routing malfunction, interference of resource reservation, or even failure of QOS provision. Dueto the characteristics of the MANETs, such as rapid topology change, limited communication and computation capacity, node failures and theconventional security measures cannot be applied and new security techniques are necessary. In this paper we propose a new scheme that isSecured Dynamic Source Routing Protocol(S-DSR) which is the enhancement to the DSR. Which include secured route discovery and QOS andachieves higher performance
