Abstract
This paper discusses theoretical and practical aspects of software agents. A research survey regarding industrial applications, multi-agent systems, platforms, standardization and classifications has been presented. Various models of Network security, specifically vulnerability assessment model and Social profiling involving software agents have been studied and compared in the research. The designing and implementation issues of agent frameworks are major concern. Finally the appropriate performance evaluation methodology to conduct practical on software agents has been proposed on different datasets
