Abstract :
In the present study, sixteen single parents were selected at CAZRI, Central Research Farm, and Jodhpur for investigation of phenological behaviour of Neem (Azadirachta indica). Observations were recorded for various characters i.e., number of flowers per inflorescence, inflorescence length, number of fruits per inflorescence, percent fruiting and 100-green seeds weight. Inflorescence length had fairly high genotypic coefficient of variance (GCV), highest heritability and maximum genetic advance. Therefore, this trait appears to be quite reasonable to use as a selection index for genetic improvement of Neem.
