Cloning a highly immunogenic subunit of foot and mouth disease virus coat protein in Escherichia coli

: A highly immunogenic subunit of foot and mouth disease virus coat protein was cloned in E.coli competent cells. Some modifications were incorporate in to the original sequence to achieve high degree of immunogenicity when administrated in livestock. Codon optimization for tobacco, incorporation of Kozak segment and attachment of endoplasmic reticulum signal peptide were all considered in the construct designing.
