A Review on Crop Plant Production and Ripeness Forecasting

There are many criteria to define ripeness standard of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB). Oil palm and all its related industries, which have existed for the last five decades, continue to thrive. Good bunches have been harvested, and supplied to the mills. The laid-down system must be enforceable and economical. Obviously, true ripeness is the stage at which total product content (primarily oil) is maximized, and at present various harvesting criteria are being used to decide on this, e.g. four loose fruit per kilogram of bunch weight on 7 to 10 days harvesting intervals. This paper review the agronomy temperament of the crop namely oil palm fruit for the research analysis on maturity prediction with extend to forecast of the day for fruit harvesting.
