Abstract :
In order to determine leaf color chart (LCC) and SPAD value for local Tarom variety, a design on random complete Block as factorial were carried out in deputy of rice research institute of Iran in 2006-2007. Based on soil test experiment, soil had clay loam (CL) PH=7-7.5 and organic matter one percentage. The amount of urea fertilizer (30, 60, 90 kg/ha) with split of urea as a factorial were done two, three and four times. The others treatment were the same and based on technical recommendation of institute. The measurement of LCC and SPAD value were done taking 10 matured leaves with the interval of 10 days. The average of 10 numbers was used for analysis. At the harvesting time, dry weight of straw, panicle and total dry were calculated with harvesting of 4 hills. The yield is obtained with harvesting of 5m2 and adjusted with 14% humidity and changed to hectare. The comparison means showed the effect of urea fertilizer and split was significant on LCC and SPAD values. According to mean comparison, it can be concluded the critical of LCC for local Tarom was 3. The critical value of SPAD was 32-34. Therefore, if the LCC and SPAD values were lower than of critical values, it is recommend to use 30 kg urea/ha for Tarom variety in 2 times. Since urea fertilizer and split has increased biomass, panicle dry weight and filled grain per panicle; as a result, yield was increased.
