  • Abstract
    Problem Statement: It has been observed that organizational behavior is dependent 0/1 and i1rllu·· enced by business process line ofrespective organization. Behavioral stability oforganization is ilirecti)ʹ linked to achieved performance ofits business process. However. the performance can be achieved only when the business processes are properly re-engineered. Business Process Heengineering is one ofthe key management techniques that have heen commonly applied in improving organizational performance. The technique involves restructuring operations activities ofthe corefunctions ofan organizcaionfor t!n~ purpose ofenhancing their efficiency and effectiveness. However; the Business Process Re-engin(;~ering has been applied in ad-hoc manner that leads to failure in achieving the expected results in prganizations. Furthermore, it has been observed that, failure in applying this technique has been caused by lack ofawareness and proper knowledge in the technique by organizations. Purpose: Thispaper presents a systematic approach aimed at guiding organizations to adopt and apply Business Process re-engineer.. ing technique. Also, the paper presents the impacts ofthis technique in the dimensions ofperformance. Methodology: Based on the literature review a conceptual framework was developed to reflecting the relationships ofBusiness Process He-engineering with product quality. productivity and operational cost The proposed conceptualframework is validated using practical and empirical data. Results: From the study, it has been found that Business Process Re-engineering influences Organizational performance by effecting organizational performance dimensions ofproduct quality, operational cost and producli",ity, Conclusion: For successful implementation ofBusiness Process Re-engineering implementation organization shouldfollow the six suggestedphases in order to improve the organizationalperformance.
