  • Abstract
    ABSTRACT:In order to investigate the effect of three consecutive years application of different municipal solid waste (MSW) compost amounts on yield, biomass and relative some macro and micronutrient of soybean (JK cultivar), an experiment was carried out in a randomized complete block design with three replications at Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University in 2011. The fertilizer treatments were consisted of control (no fertilizer application), recommended chemical fertilizer (40 kg ha-1 of urea and 60 kg ha-1 of triple super phosphate and potassium sulfate) and 20 and 40 Mg ha-1 levels of MSW alone and plus 50% chemical fertilizer and non-enriched. Results showed that maximum soybean biomass (14859.4 kg ha-1) and grain yield (4426.9 kg ha-1) were belonged to 40 Mg ha-1 enriched MSW compost. According to orthogonal contrast analysis, application of enriched MSW compost group significantly increased biomass (17%), grain yield (23%) and the relative K and P yield (nearly 16% and 21%, respectively) compared to non-enriched MSW compost. Also, results showed up to 30% increases of aerial Zn, Mn and Fe accumulation and up to 15% increases of relative Zn, Mn and Fe yield in MSW compost group versus chemical fertilizer treatment. The relative K (r= 0.94**), P (r= 0.89**), Zn (r= 0.95**), Mn (r= 0.91**) and Fe (r=0.89**) yield in amended treatments were positively and significantly correlated with soybean yield.
