Shrinkage Curve: Experimental Study and Modelling

براي مطالعه فرايند كاهش حجمي خاك رسي، يك تست آزمايشگاهي اصلاح شده انجام داديم كه مي‌توان به صورت هم‌زمان و پيوسته، تغييرات مكاني عمودي و كيفيت وزن طبيعي نمونه را اندازه‌گيري نمود. آزمايش بر روي يك نمونه خاك رسي دست‌نخورده انجام گرديده‌ است. با استفاده از نتايج آزمايش و بر اساس روابط موجود بين محتواي خاك آب و تغييرات ساختاري آن، يك مدل تحليلي پيشنهاد كرده‌ايم كه مي‌تواند منحني كاهش حجمي خاك را آناليز و تحليل نمايد.

In order to study the shrinkage process of clayey soil, we perform a modified laboratory test allowing to measure simultaneously and continuously the vertical displacement and the weight of natural state specimen. The experiment was conducted on undisturbed clayey specimen. Using the experimental results, and on the basis of the existing relation between the soil water content and its structural evolution, we proposed an analytical model allowing the analysis of the soil shrinkage curve.
