Study of effects of Policy Analysis Matrix and relative advantage of rapeseed production

ABSTRACT: With due attention to facilities and fit human resources in Sistan & Balouchestan province there is optimum condition for rapeseed production. In this research in order to study of relative advantage of rapeseed production in Sistan region with use of Index of Domestic Resource Cost (DRC) and Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) was studied. Information was collected from agriculture department of Zabol city and annals foreign trade database during 2010-2011. Nominal protection coefficient index of rapeseed showed that in all parts tax has been imposed on producers. Criterion of beneficial effective protection coefficient in region is government interferences in rapeseed production. Amount of Net Social Profitability (NSP) is negative now. Generally results showed that with exist condition, rapeseed cultivation in sistan region hasn’t relative advantage, but yield increase, decreasing production costs and improvement of planting methods are effective factors for rapeseed cultivation advantage in Sistan region.
