Investigation for existence alkaloid in Achillea wilhelmsii C.Koch and its qualitative comparison to Achillea millefolium

Alkaloids with having different structures were known as important second metabolites with effects biologics and pharmacologic. For these reasons in the resent decade study on the extraction alkaloids from the medicinal plant species of Achillea was carried out. The propose of this paper including (I) investigation of existence alkaloid in A. wilhelmsii species for the first time, (II) qualitative competitive between A. wilhelmsii and A. millefolium for the contain value of (+)-alkaloids. Extraction of existence alkaloids from the A. wilhelmsii and A. millefolium plants was performed by using decoction in acidic and alcoholic solution. Then thin layer chromatography with UV-Vis detection (TLC-UV) was applied. According to obtained results existence of alkaloids in the A. wilhelmsii specie was confirmed, while amount of alkaloid in both species was recognized (+)-1. For identification and consideration of medicinal properties of exist alkaloids in these species further investigation was necessary.
