Abstract
Reaction of a permetallated ethene, ((mu)4-C=C)Fe2Ru2Cp*2(CO)10, with diphenylacetylene affords the adduct with a new C2-binding mode, a (mu)4-dicarbyne complex, ((mu)4-C–C)Fe2Ru2Cp*2(CO)6((mu)-Ph–C(Equivalence Relation)C–Ph), containing a dimetallacyclobutariene core.
