Investigation of some agronomical traits of safflower cultivars and lines under planting seasons in Zanjan area

Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) growth and productivity are influenced by many factors like genotype, environment and agronomic practices. In order to compare of dry land sufflower cultivars and lines growth and yield under planting seasons, this experoment as randomized complete design with 3 replications with 10 cultivars and lines of sufflower (pl-198990, pl-401478, pl-304408, 324-s6-697, LRV51-51, SINA, 411, ESFAHAN LOCAL, Darab2, il111) was performed in two planting seasons (spring planting was at 5 March and expected planting was at 5 November) that combined analysis. Results showed that planting season and cultivar and its interaction had significant effect on biological yield. The obtained result demonstrated that cv. SINA under spring season with mean of 3006 kg/ha was the superior to other cultivars and lines regarding biological yield. On the other hand, the same cultivar (SINA) had the highest biological yield under autumn season condition with mean of 2263.107 kg/ha. The obtained results also showed that cv. Darab2 with mean of 1379.429 kg/ha had lowest biological yield than to other experimental cultivars and lines.
