Abstract
The electron transfer reaction from Lipshutz cuprates, which can be easily prepared from aryl bromides, to 1,4benzoquinones was found to proceed smoothly, affording either the corresponding homo-coupling products, in modest to excellent yields, or macrocyclic products selectively.
