This article reviews Handbook of the Arts in Qualitative Research, edited by J. Gary Knowles and Ardra L. Cole. Knowles and Cole effectively present a sound and solid approach to the field of arts-based research by putting together a wide horizon of practices and approaches through a comprehensive and effective discussion of the myriad diverse implications for all the arts. Furthermore, by inviting some of the best practitioners and researchers in the field to contribute to this project, Knowles and Coles optimize not only the innovative outcomes of arts-based research, but also open further possibilities within the discipline.
