Abstract :
ABSTRACT:pulse after cereal are the largest source plant protein lentil (lens culinaris medik) is one of the most important pulse crops in semiarid regions of iran, india, turky and canadian.effect of phosphorous and zinc fertilizer on yield and yield components of lentil(lens culinaris medik) in irrigation complement condition were investigated at the khuzestan, iran during 2011-2012.a factorial split-plot experiment, within a randomised complete block design with three replication, was used. Cultivars(gachsaran and flip92-12l) were allocated to main plots. Sub-plot treatments were three levels of p aplied as triple super phosphate (tsp):0, 50 and 100 kg tsp/ha, and three levels of zn applied as zinc sulphate: 0, 10 and 20 kg znso4 /ha.results show that, p level had a significant effect on plant heigh, number of pods per plant, hundred seed weight, seed yield and biological yield. Zn applied to the soil, had a significant effect on plant heigh, number of pods per plant, hundred seed weight and seed yield. There was significant difference between the two cultivars tested and gachsaran was superior to flip92-12l for hundred seed weight and seed yield. Gachsaran responded well to fertilizer treatment and environmental factors in dry land farming conditions.the interaction triple between p,zn and cultivar significant for protein content. The significant positive effective of p fertilizer on yield and yield components indicates that p can be effectively applied to dry land farming system in iran. Zn fertilizer (as znso4) decreases ph of soil in dry areas and increases root absorption of minerals and improved plant growth regulator (iaa). Enhance plant nutrition increases assimilate production and phytosynthesis efficiency at seed filling stage which lead to high yield and yield components,
