An efficient sSynthesis of polyhydroquinoline derivatives catalyzed by heteropolyacid

Green, mild and efficient condensation reactions of 1,3-cyclohexanediones with various aldehydes and ethylacetoacetate and ammonium acetate were carried out in the presence of catalytic amounts of H3PMo12O40 as an inexpensive, eco-friendly and recyclable catalyst to afford the desired polyhydroquinoline derivatives in good to excellent yields.
