Directed efficient and rapid bromination of phenols and anilines with N-bromosaccharin using tungstophosphoric acid as a heterogeneous recyclable catalyst under solvent-free conditions

N-Bromosaccharin in the presence of tungstophosphoric acid converts phenols and anilines to the corresponding bromides in high to excellent yields at room temperature under solvent free conditions.
