Abstract :
Triphenyl phosphite reacts with dialkyl acetylene dicarboxylates in the presence of mercaptanols to produce of dialkyl 2-(diphenoxyphosphoryl)-3-[(2-hydroxy alkyl) sulfanyl] succinates in two diastromeric forms in 85- 90% yields.
