Abstract
The protonated reactive 1:1 adduct generated from reaction of dialkyl acetylendicarboxylates and trialkylphosphites by ?-oximinoketones leads to vinyltrialkoxy phosphonium salts, which endure intramolecular Wittig reaction to produce dialkyl 1-alkoxypyrrole dicarboxylates in good yields.
