Abstract :
In this study, development level of provinces in Turkey based on plant production amount by factor analysis was examined. Within the context of the research, the selected 21 plant species in 81 provinces were investigated for the 2010 production season. KMO value of this factor analysis was 0,717 and Barlett Spherity test significance value was found as 0,000. Thus, data set were found to be fit in order to factor analysis. Application of factor analysis, 5 factors were identified as having eigen values greater than one. The variance percentage of these factors was 69,315. In other word, the % 69,315 of total change could be explained by these factors. Using varimax rotation provided to appoint the suitable factors of the variables. To find out the best and the worst provinces in terms of production amount, factor scores were used.
