Contents of innovation systems and mechanisms of their functioning

The article considers a variety of approaches to the definition of the concept of "innovation" and "innovation system". Clarified the concept of "innovation", which includes not only a sign of novelty decisions, but also the shape of the economic implementation of innovations. Deepened and broadened the concept of "innovation system", which is understood by us as a single complex of businesses and organizations interconnected with organizational and economic mechanism. The operation of this complex is directed on creation, adoption and diffusion of innovations.
