Transfers and regular elements in cohomology algebras of finite groups

A characterization of regular homogeneous elements in mod p cohomology algebras of finite groups will be given in terms of transfer maps defined by modules, which are introduced by Carlson, Peng, and Wheeler [J. Algebra 204 (1998) 286–311].
