Weak Krull–Schmidt theorem and direct sum decompositions of serial modules of finite Goldie dimension

We show that every direct summand of a serial module M of finite Goldie dimension is serial, give a description of the corresponding commutative monoid V(M), and generalize Facchiniʹs weak Krull–Schmidt theorem to a larger class of modules.
