Abstract :
Adsorbed water molecules which promote the methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) at Pt–Ru alloy electrode are clearly detected by in-situ FTIR spectroscopy with the attenuated total reflection configuration, which directly supports the ʹbi-functional mechanismʹ for the MOR.
