Hom(A, G) Original Research Article

In this paper, we prove that for any finite group G and any finite abelian group A, the number of homomorphism from A to G is divisible by the greatest common divisor of A and G. This result is a generalization of an old theorem of Frobenius on the number of solutions of the equation xn = 1 on a finite group.
