Abstract :
Di- and trisulfide linked oligopyrrolic macrocycles are obtained when appropriate (alpha),(alpha)ʹ-free pyrrolic precursors are reacted with sulfur dichloride; these systems represent the first examples of what might be a general new class of porphyrin analogues.
