Co1has parabolic subgroups of the shape 362M12and 31 + 4Sp4(3) · 2. Lyonsʹ simple groupLyhas parabolics of the form 35(M11 × 2) and 32 + 4A5D8. We will characterize these parabolics and similar ones found in subgroups ofCo1using the amalgam method.
