Abstract :
The median gross-alpha radioactivity found in 236 drinking water samples in Quebec was 52 mBq/l. Only 3% of samples studied have an activity higher than the Maximum Contaminant Level of 555 mBq/l. The median detection limit of the method described is 24 mBq/l.
