Abstract :
Farid-o-din Attar Neishabouri is deemed amongst the most renowned men in the history of mysticism and Iranian literature. He devotes a faithful consideration to the permeation of mystical thoughts. Relying on divergent allegories and theosophical fables, he depicts the mystic’s journey to achieve truth. However, among the masters of Persian poetry the life of no poet has been as obscure as that of Attar. Furthermore, there has been some irrelevant verse attributed to him, with which he has no concern. The present paper is an attempt to portray Attar’s true personality through the investigation of his works and to trace the very essence of his mystic thoughts in his verse.

يعدّ فريد الدين العطار النيشابوري من ابرز شعرا ايران القدامي، وقد كرّس جلّ اهتماماته في سبيل نشر الثقافه الصوفيه من خلال آثاره الادبيه، فجميع نتاجات الشاعر دون استثنا تتضمّن تفسيرا لبعض المفاهيم العرفانيه، وتصويرا لمسعي السالك وعنايه في سبيل الوصول الي الحقيقه التي تتخيّلها الصوفيه. وعلي الرغم من كثره كتب التذاكر التي تناولته بالذكر الا ان حياته احتجبت تحت ركام من الغموض، اضف الي ذلك كثره الانتحال والوضع عليه حيث نسبوا اليه كثيرا من المنظومات العليله التي لا تمتّ اليه بصله؛ فجا هذا المقال ليظهر حقيقه ما انتجته قريحه العطار الشعريه ويقوم بتبيين هويته من خلالها ويدرس الفكره الرييسه التي اعتمد عليها الشاعر في جميع نتاجاته الشعريه.
