Prime Power Divisors of Multinomial Coefficients and Artin′s Conjecture Original Research Article

It is known that except for finitely many n, the "middle" binomial coefficient (2nn) is never squarefree. The corresponding problem for q-binomial and, more general, q- multinomial coefficients is much more complicated. We show how Artin′s conjecture implies the respective results.
